Q. What Equipment do you hire out?

A. Everything featured on our web site. We supply excavators from three quarters of a ton up to 45t. Dumpers from a 1t Skip Loader to 30t Dump trucks, Forklifts, rollers, road sweepers, crushing units and access equipment. If you have a requirement for an item not featured, contact us on 020-8801-2220 and we will source the item for you.

 

Q. Are buckets supplied with the excavators?

A. With every excavator supplied by Kayleigh Plant Hire Limited a range of buckets are supplied within the hire price. Additional attachments are available on request to make the majority of tasks as simple as possible. Additional attachments include hydraulic breakers, pulverisers, grapples, shears, pile sheet hammers and pile cutters.

 

Q. Are there attachments available for the other item of equipment available?

A. Kayleigh Plant supply attachments for all the other items of equipment they supply – as long as the attachment is manufactured!! From re-handling buckets and tipping skips for the forklifts to a sweep brush for the skid steer loaders.

 

Q. What machine do I need to hire?

A. Think logically about the job you need to do, access restrictions to site, the size of the site and how long you have to complete the job. If there is any area you are unsure of, contact us on 020 8801 2220, where your requirements can be discussed and if necessary, a site visit can be arranged.

 

Q. Does the equipment come supplied with an operator?

A. Kayleigh Plant Hire Limited employ fully experienced and industry qualified operators for all the equipment in the fleet. Clients can hire any machine with an operator or hire the equipment on a self drive basis.

 

Q. How do you charge for operated plant?

A. You will be quoted an hourly rate, dependant on the size of the equipment being hired. This rate will be for the hire of both the machine and operator. Diesel and transport charges will be quoted separately.

 

Q. Is there a charge for delivery/collection?

A. Yes, rates for delivery and collection vary with distance and the type of equipment being hired. Prices will be quoted when you place your reservation. Deliveries are normally made Monday am to Saturday midday.

 

Q. How is the equipment fuelled?

A. Every item of equipment is supplied with a full tank of fuel. If the machine is returned full, no charge is made. If the equipment is returned empty of fuel then a charge is applied. Extra fuel is available, which can be delivered at the same time as the machine in drums or during the course of the hire.

 

Q. How and when do I pay?

A. Non Account Holders:

We accept all major credit and debit cards, with the exception of Amex. Payment is taken prior to the start of the hire.

Account Holders:

If you wish to hire on a regular basis with up to 30 days credit please ask for details about instant Account opening or Download our account form online on this website.

 

 

Q. What is my responsibility for insuring the equipment that I hire?

A. It is the responsibility of the hirer to correctly insure the equipment hired against theft. Proof of this insurance may be requested by Kayleigh Plant Hire. It is also the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the equipment hired is left safe and secure on site when it is not in use. Help and advice is available, if required, at the time of hiring.

 

Q. What happens if equipment is stolen when on hire?

A. If an item of equipment is stolen whilst on hire, you must inform us immediately, as well as the local police station. They will issue you with a crime reference number, which needs to be passed on to Kayleigh plant Hire.

 

Q. What is my responsibility for equipment return?

A. Equipment remains on hire until returned to our depot. If you require a collection, please telephone and ensure you obtain an "off-Hire" number. Security of equipment remains your responsibility until returned to us or collected by us.

 

Q. How Do I know the equipment being hired is safe?

A. Prior to delivery, every item of plant is checked by a qualified engineer and a checklist is completed, detailing the condition of the machine. In addition photographs are taken prior to delivery and when the equipment is delivered to site, the driver carries out a final inspection in attendance with the client, who if satisfied is asked to sign the delivery note.

 

Q. What happens if something is broken, damaged or missing?

A. We do charge for broken or damaged equipment. Be sure equipment is secured when not in use and protected from vandalism or loss.

 

Q. When should I make my reservation?

A. Please book as early as possible, especially for the busy summer and bank holiday periods, usually 24 hours is more than sufficient.
